I had my first appointment today with Max and he is incredible! Such a lovely man, heart of gold and put me at ease instantly. I’ve never had such a good experience with a hairdresser.

He asked what I wanted and I explained a different hairdresser at my old salon put in layers when I specifically asked them not to. He reassured me that he would sort it out. I was apprehensive at first because I’ve always been nervous about hairdressers, especially new ones. But OH MY! I am so pleased with how it turned out. It’s the hairstyle I have been looking for for years, yet nobody has done quite right until Max.

I cannot recommend him enough and I’m looking forward to coming in again!

Wow!! Amazing cut and colour by Max!! I am a brunette and have gone to countless salons wanting blond highlights only to be disappointed with the results every time. I was told my hair was too dark and would take more then one visit to achieve the results I wanted. Then I went to Max and he immediately put me at ease. He told me he could absolutely do every thing that day and he did not disappoint. As we went thru the process, Max continued to explain what he was doing and got my input on the colour and highlights. It is not easy to find someone who cannot only colour your hair but also has the expertise to give you an amazing cut. I love my hair now and highly recommend Max for that professional polished look. I visited Hair Jungle for the first time 10 days ago. My stylist was Stacie and she was completely amazing. I had not been near a hair salon for over 18 months because of Covid. With some skillful cutting and styling Stacie managed to transform my hair from an obvious home cut to something beautiful without losing the length. I had my first visit to The Hair Jungle today and what a lovely experience from start to finish. I was made to feel very welcome by Max who made me a delicious cappuccino coffee, my hair was washed by a trainee and my hair was cut by Stacie who was very knowledgeable and cut my hair perfectly. The trainee returned to give my new haircut a few curls. I have been looking for a salon just like this! I only phoned yesterday and was given an appointment the very next day. She is so lovely and attentive which made me feel very comfortable straight away. He put in around 150 foils to lighten my hair, then added a highlighting cream, a splash of colour at the back, cut and blow dried it and I think I look a million 💸 💵 💲 He took great care of me and it will definitely be my go to salon from now on

Really impressed. I had my hair cut by Steph today and was really impressed – she listened carefully to how I wanted my hair cut and talked me through how she was going to do it. I was really pleased with the final result! Hair Jungle is also the only hair salon I have been to that has comfortable hair basins for when they wash your hair – no more neck pain! Really good salon!

VERY PLEASANTLY surprised! Today was my first ever time visiting Hair Jungle and I was VERY PLEASANTLY surprised! I have had my fair share of bad experiences at salons where the money I spent was not even noticeable! I had an amazing Stylist today (Emily) with the assistance of her very capable apprentices! I can honestly recommend Hair Jungle to anyone who is nervous about getting their hair ‘messed up’ again. The whole process was explained to me throughout my sitting! OLAPLEX …. add it to whatever you’re doing – it is very worth it.

Perfect service from a really talented hairdresser! I had an amazing Balayage and cut done by the lovely Chelsea today and it has given me such a confidence boost! I was really disliking my warm golden blonde hair for a while as I had four months’ worth of regrowth, and it was very split and frizzy. I wanted more of a multi-tonal Ombré/natural look. Chelsea blended some ash brown, to elongate the root colour, with ash blonde on the ends. She was very meticulous, careful and efficient and she did exactly what I asked for. Made the mistake of Damaging my hair with bleach (snapping, different length, dry and fragile) Stacey did an absolute amazing job with my hair. Amazing transformation from my dark long brown hair with previous washed out box dye to a beautiful caramel balayage first process to an ash blonde balayage. I’m so in love with the colour 😍 I can’t thankyou all enough! Lovely, friendly and bubbly team and very warm welcoming from all. It was my first time in many years going to a salon for a cut and my first colour so I was a little nervous at first, but from the first step through the door it was a Very comfortable and calm atmosphere from all the staff throughout the day even though it was a rather busy and long day for them . I decided on a restyling for my long, dull hair and showed up to my appointment last Monday. I have to be honest, I didn’t expect much as it is not the biggest or most luxurious place However I decided to take the plunge and I am so glad l did. Max did an absolutely wonderful job! (The fact that I received compliments on my hairstyle from literally every person l met since my appointment so that confirms it). In addition to giving me the most wonderful haircut, his energy was positive and he was friendly. His nonconformist attitude was quite refreshing compared to the ever present British contained demeanor. Highly recommend, this is quite a nice little hair salon with professional staff and reasonably priced.

Had my hair coloured by Max today, absolutely beautiful results, we got my hair from a dull orange to a bright fiery red without even a touch of bleach. Really great, would totally recommend 👍

This was my first haircut in Plymouth , and first hair cut in a really long time! The service was lovely, welcoming and warm.

Max styled my hair and reassured me throughout and was a great communicator of ideas and kept me in the loop with what he was doing.
The shampoo wash was also so therapeutic , so lush, I felt really spoilt!

I have been going to Hair jungle now since lock down was lifted after having terrible regrowth, Emily has been fantastic and patient with my indecisive mind, Emily really knows what she’s doing and I love that she explains the science behind her what she is doing and why, my hair always looks amazing when I leave and I don’t buoy my time in the salon as we have lovely conversations.

I was a brunette dreaming of the life of a blonde. Hopelessly trolling through the internet to find the best Salon to help me make such a transformation and I found myself constantly looping back to the Hair Jungle.

Naturally, I was terrified to put my virgin locks through such an ordeal to reach my goal but from the initial consultation was met with advice and guidance on how we could protect my hair through this journey.

I have been to the Hair Jungle twice now. Both times seeing a highly skilled and incredibly talented creative called Max. He is something of a magician when it comes to hair, knowing how to create exactly what I wanted on both visits. My hair was transformed from a sad uncared for brunette into a glamorous and healthy blonde with the work of his magic. The amount of compliments and amazement I have received from those who know me has been countless. Even my mum, an ex hairdresser with strong opinions has been amazed by Max’s handiwork.

I honestly can’t thank him enough for the hours of hard work he has put into my hair. As silly as it seems, the transformation on my noggin has not just changed the colour of my hair but changed my confidence as a whole. A huge thank you to all of the staff who have looked after me and my hair during my visits – I can’t wait to come back.

I’ve had my hair dyed before but this time round I wanted it a much lighter blonde but still natural looking. Emily did such a great job, the result was better than I expected and it was all done within reasonable time. Thank you so much !!!

Oh my gosh! I cannot recommend this salon enough! It was my first time going to this salon and I had completely virgin hair. I was super nervous but they helped me to calm down and feel comfortable. Since having my hair done, they’ve given me the confidence I never knew I had. Super friendly and super welcoming! You won’t regret it!

COVID restrictions were in place and were also really effective. There’s nothing I can fault about this salon. It’s truly amazing!

I visited Hair Jungle for the first time today and wow am I blown away! I came in wanting a blonde/caramel balayage something low maintenance but still full of colour. I haven’t had my hair coloured in over a year and my hair was in terrible condition but I’ve left there with a massive grin on my face and so many compliments about my hair! An amazing job with a lot of patience with my thick hair and I’m so sooooo happy!! Added bonus is the salon dog 😍 just the cutest.

Absolutely brilliant salon, my daughter had her hair restyled and coloured for the first time ever in Hair Jungle today, and we couldn’t be happier! I was ridiculously nervous about starting to go to a new salon following moving to Plymouth last year, but I have been very pleased with Hair Jungle! I love the salon decor and the staff are welcoming and professional. It’s an understatement that I’m awkward and am terrible at trying to describe what I want doing with my hair, but, my stylist Chelsea is lovely, listens, and tries her very best to achieve what I ask for! I recently came in for a very long appointment (I have loads of hair and needed my balayage redone) following their recent post-lockdown opening with the ‘new rules’ and they are doing a great job at keeping the clients feeling safe and as relaxed as can be.

Been to the salon twice now, once in April and again in December 2019. I had two different stylists for each appointment, Holly and Steph. Although Holly is no longer working there she got my hair exactly how I imagined and so did Steph, keeping me fully informed on each process and being lovely and welcoming. Incredible .… Couldn’t believe the transformation in just one sitting. I had the full works a couple of weeks ago and just wanted to share my amazing experience at Hair Jungle: I went in with very damaged, long bleach blonde hair that had previously been dyed brown over the top and faded, and grown out for about 4 months. In short, a mess of a head with lots of colours ranging from medium/light brown to brassy orange to golden yellow. This was due to a failed balayage at another hairdressers and I was so scared to visit another hairdresser, I left it a long time before getting anything done again. My hairdresser was Steph, who was so lovely and welcoming. She gave me an initial consultation with an allergy test, then on the day gave another thorough consultation before starting the colour correction on my hair. As I was really nervous because my hair is really weak and brittle, she went into detail and explained everything she would be doing to my hair and reassured me of any concerns. I had a full head of bleached foils with Olaplex, a toner, a second stage of Olaplex with a wash, and a cut and blow dry. I came out with an amazing long sleek mane of ash blonde hair with no brassiness, no patchiness and no visible damage. I could not believe how in one sitting my hair was completely transformed. Blonde is a very difficult colour to get right and I have had many expensive failed attempts at other hairdressers in the past. Steph knows exactly how to not only create the nicest blonde I have ever had, but to keep it in top condition without creating any further damage. Two weeks on and it still looks amazing and the most important part – no damage! To top the whole thing off I received a 20% discount for my first time, and I could not believe how cheap it was for the amount I had done. I can honestly say that Steph is incredible and would highly recommend going to her, particularly if you have long hair and worried about damage.

So happy with the results. Had my hair lightened here and it was amazing! So happy with the results and would definitely recommend to anyone

She completely rescued my tired looking locks, perfectly matching my root colour and has giving me an all-over fresh natural look!
